Capsule Endoscopy by: Given Imaging

Webinars offer distance-learning opportunities for healthcare professionals whose schedules do not allow for attendance at live courses. Led by faculty experts, these programs are conducted via a telephone connection and the internet and include lectures accompanied by slide presentations and case studies.

Learn more about the latest developments in PillCam Capsule Endoscopy such as new techniques and technologies, and new indications. Courses are hands-on training in a classroom setting.

With internet accessibility, e-learning allows for knowledge enhancement without regard to time or location. Given Imaging is developing web-based courses that will allow for self-paced instruction on GI disorders, capsule endoscopy, and esophageal pH monitoring.

Givensight is a biannual electronic educational newsletter. This inaugural edition features two articles, “The Expanding Role of PillCam SB Capsule Endoscopy in Crohn’s Disease,” and “Best Practices for Diagnosing Iron Deficiency Anemia and Obscure GI Bleeding.”  The authors are, respectively Dr. Blair Lewis, Clinical Professor of Medicine, Gastroenterology at Mt. Sinai Hospital, New York and Professor Ian Gralnek, Head of the GI Outcomes Unit and Senior Physician, Department of Gastroenterology, Rambam Health Care Campus, Rappaport Faculty of Medicine, Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. Both are prominent capsule endoscopy researchers among their many interests, and well known for their pioneering and educational efforts in this field.  The articles are literature-based reviews of the most up-to-date approaches in these indications, and include patient vignettes and FAQ’s.   In this regard, they reflect our recent FDA clearance for PillCam SB use in these indications.
